A good part of our collection is made in small runs by hand, which means the best pieces are often reserved before they land rather than sitting in a warehouse. Pre-ordering is how you claim one.
What a pre-order actually is
A pre-order reserves a piece from a production run that hasn't arrived yet. You order it now, we set it aside in your name, and it ships to you as soon as it reaches us.
It is not a waitlist and it is not a deposit. It's your piece, held for you.
Arrival windows
Every pre-order piece shows its expected arrival on its own product page.
Handmade production runs can move. If a date shifts, we will email you rather than leave you wondering.
When you are charged
Payment is taken in full at checkout, in the same way as any other order. That's what lets us confirm quantities with the workshop and hold your piece against your name.
Ordering pre-order and in-stock pieces together
By default your whole order ships together, once the pre-order piece arrives.
If that's more than 14 days away and you'd rather not wait, let us know and we can send your in-stock items separately. An additional shipping fee may apply.
Changes and cancellations
You can cancel a pre-order for a full refund within 48 hours of placing it.
After that, pre-orders are final for change of mind, because stock has already been ordered and allocated against confirmed pre-orders. Store credit may be offered at our discretion.
If we're ever unable to fulfil a pre-order, you'll receive a full refund. None of this affects your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Why we do it this way
Our rattan is handwoven in Vietnam by a family-owned workshop, and each piece is measured, bent, woven and finished by hand. Small runs are how that stays possible. Pre-ordering means we make close to what is actually wanted, rather than over-producing and discounting the rest.

Still unsure?
Email daisyrainboutique@hotmail.com and ask. We would much rather answer a question than have you order something that isn't right.
